Nicaragua is a hot tropical country. It is bounded on the North by Honduras, on the South by Costa Rica, on the East by the Caribbean Sea, and on the West by the Pacific Ocean.

Estelí, 120 Km. North of Managua, the capital, is a fresh and welcoming town. Due to its position, it plays an importal role as business centre. Another main activity is farming, especially tobacco crops, which have become its economic base and which is considered one of the most valued in the world.

Some outstanding activities are the "hípicos", which take place in December and where you can see wonderful breeds of horses in a merry atmosphere.
